It has been said that its not what a person learns from their victories that builds character, but more about what they learn from their defeats that give them a clearer view of the path to take in life. Mike has had a few of these defeats in his past. He once lost a game of “Horse” to Walter Luckett. He was overwhelmed at a track meet by a future Olympic Gold Medal winner, Bruce Jenner. Mike also struck out on 3 swings while facing Phil Nastu during his Senior City League playing days.
Mike’s victories have been far greater. He won his personal battle over poverty by working his way through college. Mike has obtained a Master of Science Degree from the University of Bridgeport and is currently at Sikorsky Aircraft.
As a business associate of Sikorsky Aircraft Mike is part of a corporate team that has set a standard of excellence and is currently the World Leader in vertical lift technology producing the greatest helicopter on the planet which saves hundreds of lives every year. These are the very same aircraft which are currently being deployed around the world to help supply, transport, and protect our United States service people everyday. |
